Hey to all Impala guys. I have a bit of a dilemma. My 68 Caprice coupe has rust all around the back glass and has migrated into the back valance and trunk floor. The trunk I can deal with, but around the back glass is a problem. Do any of you know of an Impala that is trashed in some parts but in tact in the area around the back glass. My car is pretty good everywhere else and I hate to completely trash the 67 Impala sedan just for this metal. Any suggestions?

So Check This Out, for the last few months I've had a nagging transmission leak on my PowerGlide. I tracked it down to the trans-dip-stick-tube and changed the o-ring seal but it didn't do any good. After messing with the thing for months and trying different seals I finally took it to the shop that rebuilt my PowerGlide. They said "did you check the tube to see if it's cracked?" Say What?! Sure enough it was cracked, I never thought to look at that. So we cut the bottom 4 inches off, welded on a new bottom, problem solved. Oh by the way, there are two types of dip stick bottoms. The crappy one that takes a little rinky-dink O-ring and another that takes a rubber sleeve. Get the 2nd kind if this happens to you.

the upper bracket should be a long curved arm that bolts to the water pump.we picked up this bracket on e bay .i dont know if the manifold is wrong or the bracket.if the manifold had the bolt holes on the side this would be a no brainer
