Hey Guys, i'm currently looking to buy a full size 06 Silverado. I want to put a lift kit on it probably 6-8 inches and ofcourse big wheels and tires... My question for you guys is If i should get the 2500HD Diesel rather than the 5.7 or 6.0 litre (gas). I was told at a recent truck show that you can't make much power out of a gas engine after you lift them... The main concern is it worth the extra money and fuel mileage to buy the diesel. Any advice? Thanks.

thanks for advice timmy. I've chopped the exhaust off after the cats and put turndowns on it. But I was stuck between choosing a programmer or like throttle body spacer/mass air flow sensor combo. But wasn't sure which one would work. But I think I'll start with what you said. Whats the best kind of programmer? The only ones I've found are for 2500s.
