Hello Canadian gear heads, Question: I watched GEARZ last week where Stacey outfitted a Chev 1/2 ton with LMC Products a did a good job with the parts supplied. One area i want to know what differential parts did he use to update the rear end on this 1/2 ton truck. I checked the GEARZ website but can't find any info one the truck itself. If anyone can help me that would be muchly appreciated........Lorne

Hey Lorne, worked with a buddy of on his 305 and all we did was to put in a new cam and lifters, don't go overkill on this as bigger is not always bigger. we then went with a new dual plane intake with a gasket match and also a set of long tube headers dumping into a 2 1/2" exhaust system. We find more power with little cash outlay, while still being a good mpg daily driver.

ANY Chevy Small or Big block should just drop right into that car .... and you just can't beat cubes .... almost any other V8 will give you more and cheaper than spending money on the 305.

Hello fellow Canadian gearheads, I have a brief question? I have a 1987 Monte Carlo which I paid $300.00 for. It came equipped with the not so burley 305 4bbl. Auto Tranny. Has anyone out there ever upgraded the horsepower to a respectful number (HP). I know u can do a stroker kit to 340. but i just want a daily driver. Because I'll be pulling it out for me to do some cleaning and work on it. Any info will be greatly appreciated..........

Hello fellow Canadian gearheads, new to this site thuoght I would say Hi! I'm designing a Model A woody 2door wagon for myself, as I just finished a complete build of a 50 Merc 1/2 Pro-street project that took me five years to do and only 30 seconds to decide to give it to a friend of mine to look after for me as I moved from Winnipeg to Ottawa. The move was so that I could look after my ailling Mom. Got no shop now just a carport that my bro has his 70 Implala sitting. Do have lots of woodworking equipment in the basement though and plan on dusting it off to build the woody. My plans are to build my own frame with a dropped axle(4") crosssteering and coilovers. For motorvation an old friend of mine out here is hooking me up with an old Monte Carlo that I can source as much as I can from it. Does anyone have a lead on a cowl that I could use? Found one in Florida, but the asking price was way out there, and then there was the shipping on top of that. Soon as I find a job I'll be getting my welder sent out this way and be gettting to work on the chassis. Catch you all later!!
