Comment by 1968 rs ss camaro on March 6, 2012 at 11:21pm seems like everything is screwing with me, my powdercoating they said would take 4 days is now over two weeks and still waiting. my front seats that was told would be done by the end of jan are still about a week out or so. and all this right after the ups crap with the heads.....forced patience sucks is all i have to say about that!
Comment by Paul J, Louis Jr. on February 21, 2012 at 10:34pm Thanks '68. If it wasn't for Ron Houston from the "CLASSIC CAR RESTORATION" page taking interest, giving me advise & his professional expertise I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. Seeing your's & everyone else's project's & the work that you all have done has been a GREAT inspiration to me also.

Comment by 1968 rs ss camaro on February 21, 2012 at 9:51pm hey just out of curiousity has anyone ever tried to put an edelbrock air gap intake under a stock hood on a first gen? i looked at everything i could find out and i should just clear with that cool air intake set up, but experience beats assumption and web sites every day of the week, so just hoping someone has givin that a shot before?
Comment by 1968 rs ss camaro on February 21, 2012 at 9:48pm most definetly!!! so hard to have most the stuff and just a few little things left and not get them right away...called my interior guy today. end of next week or the begining of the following week he will have my front seats done. be a while yet till he gets the car in to do the rears tho. talked with the powder coating place too and next monday or tuesday i can pick it up. lol then back to the machine shop for a day or two to get freeze plugs and cam bearings in. then i finally get it back to put together!! self control and patience...almost need more of those than money to restore a car!!
Comment by Paul J, Louis Jr. on February 21, 2012 at 8:41pm SWEEEEEEET 68!!!! I've been followin' your progress for awhile now. It'll be another year before I get to the point where you're at. Still have the left quarter, rocker panel & trunk dropdown panel to install. Should have that done by Mid-May. My engine goes in for cleaning this summer, then the real fun begins. I keep tellin' myself... selfcontrol...selfcontrol". Kinda like having a Tootiseroll Pop & wanting to get to the center. LOL
