Jeff I thought it looked familair, my iroc's an 85. I have to finish wet sanding and polishing out my clear this coming spring.

Where are you located Don?
Jeff Waite Comment by Jeff Waite 20 hours ago
Actually the '85-'87 Iroc-Z front bumper cover came with the flat black color. It still needs to be sanded and primed. I've always been a fan of black cherry paint jobs but its a little out of my price range right now. I have a friend taking advanced refinishing who will hook me up with the prep work on the body and a primer coat for now. I'm thinking a super gloss black with multiple coats of clear. I cleaned the engine bay and applied 4 coats of high temp black paint. It seems to be fairly chip resistant. And by the way I hope my stroker can make 11:1 :~)

HEY JEFF NICE JOB I WAS GONNA DO A 383 BUT I DECIDED TO JUST DO A 355 AND WITH THE 305 HEADS I GOT PLENY OF LOW END TORQUE

if anyone needs int. parts let me know I'm gutting my 89 camaro, the glass goes to, back and t-tops too.

the last 383 stroker I built was around 529hp at 7000rpm with 11:1 comp. and it had 1.94 intake valves in a set of 041 heads from the 60s, 64cc closed chamber heads good little heads though, good luck with the dyno if you get it back together in time.

I see primer on the nose there Jeff, what's in the works for a paint scheme? basic black?
Jeff Waite Comment by Jeff Waite 1 day ago
Thanks for the comments. They are a set of rebuild 1.94 heads. Similar to the Vortec heads found on GM trucks. They were suggested by the local company I had build my motor. No they won't flow as good as a set of 2.02's would, but they will produce more than enough low end torque that I'm hoping to achieve. If my buddy can finish powdercoating my headers then I can get it in to the Dyno at a local commmunity college for free :~)
