ron i do plan on welding in the floor pans if i could find the right toe kick sections for my 79 the only ones i have found are from 67 to 69 also looks like it may be available for 73 as full floor pans through classic industriesa may have to purchase these and do some modifications.

Hey Guys- A little professional advise: As to riveting in floor panels- On a Camaro? Are you kidding? Maybe on your Mom's Escort. But Your Camaro.....
Don't half-ass it , weld it in. Camaro's are weak enough as it is (unibody construction) If you rivet it in, don't be surprised if you get on it or hit a bump and then can't get the doors open ( and I have seen it happen) I do professional restorations(See My Page) and have owned probably 20 first gen Camaros. If you need advise I will gladly help, time permitting. ~~~Ron

Looks like you hammered that clutch quite a bit. Mines an OE replacement going on 5 years and I don't even know how many miles, but I'm not doing burn outs at every stop light...yet. When this one gives up or I swap out the 305 for something bigger I'm planning on a centerforce dual friction clutch, from some research and asking a few of the guy on here it won't increase the size of your right leg and if I decide to drag race it some it'll take the abuse

sounds like a good idea to use the fiberglass as a template. another question i have how much different is the first generation toe kick panel thaan second gen would it be easier to modify those to my floor?

Jim I talked to a friend of mine that knew someone that riveted some sheet metal to the areas that were rusted out and then layed up fiberglass over the entire toe kick to make the panel and then took it off and then cut out the rusted areas and then rivited it back up to the panel.
