paul, how early is your bronco? i fit a 400 into a 67 bronco so the 5.9 diesel should be able to fit.

also the water flushed from the system was rusty most likely from the old water pump starting to corrode.

hey guys i got an 85 bronco fullsize with the inline 6 it has an over heating problem ive replaced the thermostat, thermostat housing, and water pump. i have flushed the system with gallons of water and a bottle of flush and it still overheats. and most recently idled at a high rpm. when i turned it off it knocked around a little bit. any ideas?

ok...project time....1989 Bronco XLT...The 302 it has is about to kick the bucket. Im thinking going old school with a 400M. The transmission runs but is crap it shifts really really rough and cant shift by itself(i have to decelerate for it to shift) But my question is do I have to change my E40D to fit the 400 or just buy an adapter kit? I plan to use it as a resto-mod occasionally take it out to the desert. I am currently running 33x12.50 BFG on a 16" Eagle Rims. Would it be more cost effective to use a C3,C4 with a lock up converter,C6 or just repair the tranny at a shop???
