Axle shaft clearance

I'm using the stock Corporate 10 bolt front axle, but when I went to put the shaft in, I found a problem with interference on the lower ball joint.  The yoke is hitting on the nut which then causes…Continue

Has anyone measured the sash for the tailgate window on a 73-91 Blazer/Jimmy?

Budget is really tight and I found a source of window channel that is FAR less expensive than LMC.  I just want to be sure it'll work before I go and place an order.

In the meantime, I replaced the lining on the side channel runs for MUCH less than the $50 a side that LMC charges for lined channels.  (I have some of the lining left over that I'll sell for $10 + shipping if you need some)

Doesn't it always happen this way:  You can't find something so you empty out all the trash cans, go through everything on the workbenches, and sweep the floor to find nothing.  But take a break to go look for a replacement and when you come back the thing you were looking for is _literally_ right next to where your foot was? Those dang Gremlins need to get the heck out of my garage and quit moving my parts around!

Forgot to add... They fit into the ends of the wheel cylinders and push the brake shoes out.

Anyone know what the heck GM calls these things or where to get one?  Somehow one of mine has disappeared and the wheel cylinders didn't come with new ones.

Thanks warren, but it will be terrorizing the streets a lot so thats not really a option. As far as melting rubber i dont mind it as long as its doing both!

SO far the locking diff that unlocks on corners is highest on the list.

Chiseum,  probably the cheapest solution to this is to either put in a spool or weld the diff gears solid.  Of course, this makes the truck pretty much useless on the street.  Short of that, a locking diff will help with the tire slip.  You'll probably still melt tires though.
